LVP Care

Low Prices • Wide Selection

• Right after your LVP floor is installed, you should vacuum and sweep the entire floor to get rid of any and all soil, grit and debris that could potentially damage or scratch the surface. After the surface has been swept and/or vacuumed, you can freely walk on your new floor.

• If you wish to use a cleaner on your floor, it is best to use a pH neutral vinyl floor cleaner

• Even though LVP is waterproof, it is recomended that you do not applt too much water on your LVP flooring.

• As mentioned above, it is best to only use pH neutral vinyl floor cleaners. Do not use cleaning products that have surfactants in them. Buffing or waxing your LVP floor is not necessary. It is recomended to not use dish soap, laundry detergent or Murphy Oil Soap on your LVP floor.

• Do not use a steam mop or any kind of steam cleaner on a LVP floor.

• If you are going to move heavy furniture or appliances across your LVP floor, it is recomended that you place a hard flat surface between the item you are moving and the floor. When moving heavy furniture or appliances place a hard surface between the item.

• Sliding heavy items, such as furniture and appliances, can leave deep scratches in the floor. Ideally, it is best to carry heavy objects across your LVP floor to prevent any kind of damage to the floor.

• If you install felt pads on the bottoms of chair legs, it is best to replace them occassionally, since the felt can accumulate abrasive materials that can eventually damage the floor.
